Abstract
An artist’s statement and biography presenting Mist Over Water, a series of gongbi paintings on silk by Ding Hong of Tsinghua University. Built around the relation between water and Taihu stones, the works use the transparency of silk to layer concrete forms with fields of colour suggesting parallel times and spaces.
