Abstract
A poetic and philosophical essay by Alberto Ruiz de Samaniego on the painting of the Spanish artist César Barrio. Drawing on Michel Serres, it describes his work as a kind of hydraulics of flows and turbulence, in which the painter channels the flow of nature rather than imposing order on it.
